mia: whats going on 

(by now the characters are in a small semi circle around her and in synchronised time they pick up black sheets to symbolise walls trapping her)

Mia falls to the floor overwhelmed and scared screaming out no and help 


bella theresa kelsea and georgia all hypnotise her  

conchense scene 3: lighting plain white 

s:where am i (talking to herself)
i:right here silly
s:who was that 
i:mia
s:no thats my name 
i:yes precisly 
s:im so confused if your me then who am i
i:you are you i am you
s:what that just dosent make any sence 
i:im in you head like a consience, that little voice that tells you what to do from time to time 
s: so can you tell me how to get home 
i: let me see umm i think you have to ... just keep swimming (lighting changes to blue)
all voices: chant just keep swimming 
s: what 
i: no that doesnt seem right
s:are you talking about finding nemo 
I: oh silly me i just get confused. maybe you have to close your eyes tap your heels and say theres no place like home 
s: no i dont think thats right either unless we are in the land of Oz 
i: follow the white rabit
s:no im not alice in wonderland
i: uhh why cant i remember
s:you arent very good at this 
i: i know, i guess you on your own... sorry i couldnt help
s: no dont go 




ending 
after mia is being hypnotised theresa georgia and bella yell sleep at the same time and she falls asleep standing up, slowly they carry her back to her bed and put it her back to her bed and reset her room but they leave little things that remind her that it was real by accident

mia: i dont know where i am 
strange character 1: are you lost 
strange character 2:Vous êtes perdu
strange character 3:Te has perdido

mia: yes, how d i get home 
strange character 1: you cant
strange character 2: vous ne pouvez pas
strange character 3: usted no puede

this lesson we worked on scripting the first scene

Scene 1

Mom

Mum: alright Mia its time to hop into bed its nearly 8 o clock
Mia: please mummy cant I stay up just a little bit longer
Mum: no honey not tonight into bed and ill tuck you in 
Mia: alright (gets up of the floor from her dolls and gets into her bed)
Mum: (kisses Mia on the forehead and pulls up the blankets) good night baby sweet dreams 
(mias mum goes to leave the room and turn out the lights)
mia: no mummy leave the lights on the monsters will come and get me 
mum: oh Mia its all in your head they aren’t real just try to get some sleep

(lights go out and the transaction into the dark monster world)

lesson 3


what the world should look like
  • dark 
  • green lighting 
  • distorted time
  • haunted laughing and echoing sounds in the background
  • clowns and masks and monsters

plot
  • when the mum tuck's her into bed and turns of the light she says “goodnight sweetie have sweet dreams” when the mum leaves the room the girls bed starts to spin round as she is entering the dream world.
  • in the dreamworld she is comforted my her childhood fears and is looking for a way to overcome them and get back.
  • she meets her old imaginary friend that she was told to forget about as she was getting to old and he helps her get back to reality 

she should meet all of her fears in the world and see that they are all enlarged because its in her mind and they are exaggerated 

when Sophie gets of her bed the walls all around her come closer and trap her she screams and falls to the ground (three people holding black sheets) she kneels down and she says a paragraph or so on being trapped in societies expectations 

kelseas idea- walls coming in
georgias idea- mum tucks her in 
sabrinas idea - sweet dreams 
my idea- imaginary friend as its a common thing tht young children have and also in the story i wanted the to be one here (good guy) and so the role of the old imaginary friend seemed to fit in with the unrealism and childhood of the story.
plot we all decided on and contributed to different parts of it 

lesson 2

our play will be more a nightmare world then a dream, as the girl in the story sees all her fears enhanced and out to get her.
